UK Visitor Visa

The Standard Visitor visa covers tourism, visiting family, business meetings and short medical treatment in the United Kingdom. NELA VISA builds the file around the one question a caseworker is really asking: will you leave at the end of it?

Purpose of visit and your ties

Visitor refusals almost always come down to the caseworker not being satisfied that you are a genuine visitor who will leave. We look at your employment, family, property and travel history and build the file so that the answer to that question is visible without the reader having to infer it.

Financial evidence that explains itself

It is not enough that the money is there — the file has to show where it came from and that it is genuinely yours to spend. We go through your statements with you, explain any unusual movement in writing, and document a third party's support properly where someone else is funding the trip.

Application, appointment and the cover letter

We complete the online form, book the visa application centre appointment, and write the covering letter that ties the trip, the money and your reasons for returning into one account the caseworker can follow.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions We Are Asked Most

How long can I stay in the UK as a visitor?

A Standard Visitor visa normally permits stays of up to six months per visit. Long-validity visas of two, five or ten years exist, but they do not extend that six-month limit per trip, and living in the UK through repeated visits is not what the route is for.

Can I visit the UK for a business meeting on this visa?

Yes, for permitted business activities — meetings, negotiations, conferences, site visits. What you may not do is work for a UK employer or be paid from a UK source, and blurring that line is a common reason a file is refused.

My UK visitor visa was refused. Should I appeal or reapply?

There is generally no right of appeal for visitor refusals, so a fresh application that addresses the stated reasons is usually the realistic route. We start from your refusal notice — the wording tells us precisely what the caseworker was not satisfied about.
